The New YogaWorks

When I started at YogaWorks, some yogis described the studios as “snobby”. Many felt unwelcome in the 60+ locations. Being the only designer/art director, I was responsible for all things brand and creative. The brand desperately needed a facelift. I introduced new photography, colors, and concepts. With a lot of scrappy planning, I was able to coordinate brand photoshoots using volunteers from the studios and friends of friends – there was no budget for location or talent. I partnered with the in-house photographer to do short photoshoots in between classes at the popular Playa Vista studio. The goal was aspirational, but achievable. We wanted to highlight a warm, inviting environment that nurtures the students and emphasizes the amazing yoga instructors. This page shows the outcome of the hard work put into the brand.

Summer Pride Campaign

International Yoga Day falls on the same day as the Summer Solstice, June 21. June is also widely known as Pride month. To celebrate these occasions, I organized a UGC-style photoshoot with our in-house photographer and real members from YogaWorks studios. I wanted to show the fun, colorful, bright side to yoga. It was so much fun art directing and bringing this mini campaign to life.

Retail Giveaways

To promote the products sold in the retail section of YogaWorks studios, we did a series of giveaways. I selected the products, and styled and shot the photos. They were promoted in studio, email, and social media.
